Jonathan Vincent: Composer for film, television and media
Jonathan is a classically trained multi-genre media composer, producer, and arranger who lives to create music that tells stories and evoke emotion. Based in Kent, Jonathan offers a full suite of music and sound services from his well equipped studio, blending experience, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver compelling music and audio for screen, stage and live events.
Jonathan is an Ivor’s Academy Senator and sits on the Ivor’s Media Council. He is also a member of BAFTA connect. Jonathan was recently honoured to be a member the judging panel for the “Best Television Soundtrack” category for the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards.
His background in orchestral percussion, piano, and electronic music has shaped a unique and distinctive creative voice that emerged from his early experiences developing groundbreaking MIDI construction kits that paved the way for production tools like Ejay, Acid, and Ableton.

Jonathan has never missed a deadline
Jonathan writes extensively for respected production music libraries such as Reliable Source Music, Addictive Tracks, DeWolfe & Atomica. He has had syncs on countless shows, such as Brooklyn 99, The Apprentice, Top Gear, The One Show, Countryfile, and Antiques Roadshow. See the credits page for further examples.
As an arranger, Jonathan has worked with artists such as Amber Run, Saint Raymond, Natalie Duncan, Nina Smith and Harleighblu.
He continues to regularly perform on keyboards and percussion and scratches his prog rock compulsion with two bands: Green Box Bear and Primitive Instinct. Jonathan is also MD for the function band Chocolate Charlie. He regularly performs classical works with local orchestras and choirs and uses his experiences as a percussion teacher, university lecturer and A-level examiner to conduct the local youth music orchestra and support the next generation of musicians.
